Carole King to be respected for music vocation, altruistic meets expectations

NEW YORK – Singer-lyricist Carole King will be respected as the 2014 Musicares Person of the Year for a profession spreading over almost six decades and her magnanimous and generous work at a tribute early one year from now, The Recording Academy, which distributes the Grammy Awards, said on Thursday.
